Voted!
Even with the trip up to Westchester and back, it seems I waited less than people who voted in precincts next door to them. I got to push my niece in her stroller over to my old elementary school and walk right up to the only booth for my district and go right in. There and back again in under ten minutes, I'd wager. Not even time enough for her to get sleepy.
Sorry for the folks with lines and problems. I, too, share a vague sense of unease despite the fact that I didn't even so much as touch levers in rows that I wasn't pulling down. I took the mock ballot print-up with me to entertain my niece but also to be sure I'd clicked along the right row. Here's hoping.
