Checking in from the computer lab...

Grr, I have no idea how I managed to finish that shithole paper, but I'm here now just trying to get it printed out, gonna waste some time here, too. Updating updating.

Kudos and thanks to Jordan for the feel-better message. Muchos appreciated, and you're pretty right on for most of it. I'm gonna try taking on a few suggestions.

Back to me returning to normalcy. Man, I am out of my element when it comes to Poli-Sci. Hence the freaking out the other day. All is well now, save for my paper, which decidedly is one of the worst I'm sure I've ever written. The circular logic of the thing is about as bad as gets--until you consider the writing is like that of a three-year-old. No offence to poli-scis, but your guys' subject is just prone to whining. Wah wah wah, discrimination, intolerance, do something do something do something, but don't *you* do it because we don't want help from the oppressors. *shakes head* Enough.

Now I can move onto happier things, like more video games for credit and, get this, ZOMBIE DAY. Yours truly is voluntarily seeing zombie movies all day (BUT NOT THAT AWFUL ONE WITH THAT MUSIC THAT STILL HAUNTS ME TO THIS DAY, THANK YOU POOCH AND ROB!!!), enjoying zombie-like activities...including communal mealing,(--er, going out to dinner with other zombie enthusiasts, which, you have to admit is zombie-like as zombies are most definitely zombie enthusiasts, hence all the making of *more* zombies), and the very-zombie like state of inebriation I anticipate entering this evening at the pub (alcohol and the t-virus, is there a connection!?!)

This weekend is SURFING. I can't tell you how totally stoked I am about this. I don't care if I fall off and never get it, or get horribly scarred on under water rocks, this will be one of the best trips ever, ever, ever. It might necessitate me moving to the west coast to pursue it more actively. I know, I know, ewwww, west coast? What am I thinking? Well, it's that or like Florida or here. I've had my fill of Victoria, methinks, and I'm ready to see New Zealand and other parts of Oz. They have good surfing there, too :). O'course, I'll come back bitter in a few days time, but for now, this is the best thing since I got my certification.

Man! Me! A beach bum! I soooo am gonna be. After last weekend tooling around the beaches with Carrie, I've embraced my warm-weather inner me. I'm a Nor'easter, and we don't *do* beaches. Mountains, snow, we got, but for beaches you gotta go to Long Island or Jersey, and save for my trip there with Liz M, I can't recall ever going (or having a good time if we did, if I'm remembering the Long Island trip correctly). But man, after having oodles of fun at the beaches in Victoria, ones with water too cold to swim in, I'm convinced that any and everything having to do with the beach is a good thing. If I can amuse and entertain and enthrall myself at a beach when I can't even go in the water, imagine the insane levels of glee I shall be in this weekend, back in a wetsuit, out on the waves (even if it's only just sitting on a board).

Am feeling much better thanks to y'alls kindly wishes. Major party, I'm buying the first shout of beer, when I get back. Yes, BEER. If I can swill it and manage not to vomit, you can, too. It's the finest aspect of Oz culture I've mastered so far. Boy, that sound pretty bad, neh?

I'm also sure this upswing has absolutely NOTHING to do with the poster sale returning...it would be wrong to come to uni tomorrow just to hand out flyers to get free posters, neh? But but but...LOTR...they have the one that made me bite Carrie's ear! I mean, uh...THEY HAVE IT!!!! Heheheheh...
