My headache woke me up early on Saturday morning, so I drugged myself and went back to sleep because I still felt tired. Didn't wake up again until like 3 pm. Weird. Must have been all that walking on Friday. Carrie and I loafed while I played Kingdom Hearts, something I then proceeded to do all Sunday long. No kidding. I haven't played video games for that long a stint--straight through--since junior year of college in our suite when I stayed up until 5 am playing Dynasty Warriors 3 right before Christmas break. Lisa sent Andy to get us pizza at lunchtime Sunday, she went out at 4, came back at 8:30, and I was still there.
I got through The Little Mermaid land despite wanting to rip off my ears at having to hear Under the Sea-theme music for hours on end. It was much better to get to Halloween Town and play with Jack Skellington, plus my characters all looked like Nightmare Before Christmas people! How could I quit once I unlocked Halloween Town, I ask you? So what if I immediately went on to finish off Neverland and more at Traverse Town? The best part was my playing reassured Lisa that she could do it--so she started her own game! Ahhhh the cuteness!!!
Edited to add: PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN WILL BE A WORLD IN KINGDOM HEARTS 2!!!!!!1111111!!!!!!!!!!!
In more bizarre news, I had a dream that I went back to my parents place and my older sister's college roommate, Jo, was staying there, too. She was sleeping on a king-sized bed that really wouldn't fit at all in the room she was staying in (mostly because that room is a mish-mash of crap right now). I woke up (in the dream) in a panic because I was there in the middle of the week and I was convinced that I had to go to high school. I was hyperventilating, I was so panicked. I had to go to school because I was home? But which classes? What about the homework? In these types of dreams, I tend to then sit myself down and explain why this is nuts, but Jo took over that duty. She looked at me running around all nervous and told me I didn't have to go to school. Wasn't I a college graduate? Yes. Well, then I should stand up to my parents and refuse to go to high school. Made sense, was still nervous. Woke up in real life, relieved that I didnt have to go to school, which was short-lived because I had to go to work. I debated the pros and cons of school versus work, saw that it was seven-fifty, and went back to sleep.
Moral of the story: no more staying up until all hours on weekends. Writing until 6 am is not an acceptable use of my time.
