I am so the good daughter. I got the oil changed on my dad's car after my trip upstate--turns out it was like four thousand miles overdue, too, and I rode home most of the way with the "LOW OIL" light on (never seen that one before, and I've been party to many a car-type protest).

Trip was utterly uneventful. The Best Buy guys were there early (I know, WTF?), so I was out of there by 10:30 am. I stopped at Wal-Mart for some socks (I always seem to lose my nice white athletic socks, and winter's coming on us), got a drink and gas, and I was home before 3 pm. The only lasting scars are some bug bites that I got on my palm of all places. They itch like mad, but I've been trying to be good and not play with them as the last itch I got I scratched raw and bloody and hasn't yet healed fully because of the taking on and taking off of gloves at work.

I got home in time to take my mother to Serenity. She loved it, really did, though she said (a tad upseted like) it seemed like a finisher, a wrapping up, and she sounded definitely disappointed that it wasn't bound to spark more interest. On the other hand, she's going to buy Firefly for my aunt, her sister, because the two of them bonded of late and she thinks they are a lot more similar than either realized. Yay! Serenity is love!

Also, LOST? Jin is too cute for words, I felt so bad for Sun, and the Sawyer/Ana aspect jumped right into text in one short, even civil exchange which is almost exactly as I saw it happening (my way envisioned a more bitter way, but still, quick like that). And Kate wishing she'd said goodbye? Sawyer can now safely expect a threesome in his future, when he, you know, recovers from whatever infection his gunshot-and-digging-bullet-out-of-shoulder wound has caught. Ooh, he'll be unconscious and helpless next episode. GEEEE!!! As for who's going to die, well, I love [livejournal.com profile] deepredbelle but I don't have her faith that it will be Shannon. Boone died, and you can't kill off both parts of a pair, right? Otherwise, their story ends there. On the other hand, I'd love it if they did, since it seems she and Sayid are like hooking up in the trailer (barf, whyyyyyy Sayid? You're one of the cute ones! Don't do it!). It'll probably be the blonde chick from the other side of the island because they dwelt on her a second longer than some of the main characters in the trailer. That's too bad, I kinda liked her (I admit, it's because she was on Titus, but she also seemed like a nice enough person).

If I were a betting woman (cool with the actual betting, not cool with the having a damn thing to bet with), I'd lay money on the table right this second that Shannon bites it next episode. (See my post for why I think so.) Though, I will add that if we follow one of the golden rules of Scream: it looks like she and Sayid get it on in the trailer. Plus, she's pretty. Therefore, she must die. Horribly. With lots of blood everywhere. Oh, yes.

This show owns me. Gah.

Unless they go into crazy territory and kill Sawyer. Then I will never watch another episode, see if I don't.

But that isn't going to happen because there's going to be coco-cabana knock-down drag-out fight for Sawyer between the ladies on the island. My money's on Michelle Rodriguez. Kate's actress is too damn skinny to make it past punch one.

Also, death to Shannon supported but skeptically viewed until more evidence is forthcoming. But good call on "the Rules"--I look forward to her death with much joy and rejoicing, whenever it should happen.

Ooh, maybe zombie!Walt will emerge from the jungle and eat her brain! Maybe Locke will eat her brain! Or maybe she doesn't push the button; a feat, as she always pushes my buttons and not in a fuzzy way.

When (!) Shannon dies, I bet Sayid goes crazy a little bit. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part, as I he's been mostly absent this season thus far.

They won't kill off Sawyer. Not now. Those sparks flying all over the place between him and Ana Lucia? They'll milk that, especially with Kate going mildly angsty in tonight's episode. Besides: Sawyer is the only one on that island who calls a spade a spade, and this show needs that. Desperately.
