Why oh why did I waste my weekend!?

To review for others: I have a challenge entry for Two Lines due tomorrow. I've not yet managed to work with and around the comments that darkling1 so helpfully made, let alone integrated that with deepredbelle's extremely good commentary and ivy03's precise, insightful crits. All three of you are so getting hugs forever from me (in the metaphorical sense as I need my arms at present and might need them again down the road.

And I don't even have the first semblance of a title. Damn it. I need moody music. Nothing too fast, moody music of the Cure/NIN variety. And any recs would be gratefully appreciated.

Weekends are meant to be wasted! I pretty much spent most of yesterday eating out with my parents and roommates and playing out the "I'M TOM LINCOLN!" scene with Allyson. *chagrin*
