...I know it's my third post of the day so far, but really, I am getting this posting stuff under control. By the way, I'm a bit disappointed to see that there's more than half of the SONG MEME!!! (CLICK ON ME!!!!!!) unanswered. Surely you all can do better than that.

Now, where was I? Oh, yes, the joys of browsing the GAFF forums revealed a tasty little joke on a jackass who is the terror of video game enthusiasts all over the world. No, not Jack Thompson: Uwe Boll. The man who only directs video game movies and makes them come out worse than DOOM looked like it was going to be (haven't seen that either). His latest effort, as I recounted yesterday is Bloodrayne, and the GAFF people were commenting that it was lucky he didn't get his hands on the Silent Hill adaptation. Which, by the way, stars Radha Mitchell, who I think is absolutely awesome ([livejournal.com profile] feiran and [livejournal.com profile] friendofsnarf please take note: there is an actress out there that I don't despise or desire but just actually like), and we should all be happy that Uwe Boll isn't directing it.

But, say the GAFFers, what if he got the rights to THIS???

Well obviously you suck at song memes. Obviously. It's the only explanation.

newredshoes: possum, "How embarrassing!" (Nicole Kidman is a lucky ho.)

Eep! The only song I could have guessed is "Strawberry Fields Forever" (speaking of which! want to see something horrifying?), but I think that may be the best summary of A Life Less Ordinary I've ever seen.

(ALSO. We should be continuing that sometime tonight, if you're interested... *innocent*)

Let's hope I'm better at Trivial Pursuit then. When is that, by the by?

If you have not seen it, Brotherhood of the Wolf, as I mentioned, is a great way to see how awesome Silent Hill will be.

Uh...BotW isn't a stellar recommendation. I thought the thing was pretentious crap with no direction (not Directorial direction, just no story direction) whatsoever.

Also, pardon me for being female about this, but the blonde guy's TWU WUV is the driving force once he partner dies...but he still hooks up with Persephone-the-Vatican-Whore? Not so sympathetic, stupid Frenchman.

Vin Diesel makes everything better.

Tha'ts sad. I don't know what TWU WUV means but basically I thought Brotherhood of the Wolf was the most elaborate B-monster-movie ever made. But I also thought it was very atmospheric and the cinematography was very good, which was one of the main things I thought will translate to Silent Hill.

The only thing about Brotherhood of the Wolf that I felt accomplished the creep factor was the opening. The peasant girl running for her life and then being bashed against the rock by the unseen terror was very effective. It was utterly down hill from there.

I don't want to be one of those ultra-liberals, but the attempts at non-secular and secular mysticism that followed--implying that the Indian fellow was better able to commune with beastial types, the secret arm of the church that puts down magickal heretics and raises the dead, et al--just bored me to tears. And, like I said, you could tell it was a French movie when it was like "La la la, not gonna get much done tonight, let's go to a whorehouse!"

Also "twu wuv" is making fun of fanbrats with pseudo-fanbrat speak. It's "true love" as if googly-eyed teenagers were saying it (or that guy from The Princess Bride).
