Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] minisinoo:

Name one CD you own that no-one on your friends' list has: Electrasy - In Here We Fall

Name one book you own that no-one on your friends' list has: This is probably where I'm supposed to show you bitches how well-read I am, but all I can think of are the various movie novelizations that I'm sure no one else cares about. How about The Silver Wolf by Alice Borchardt? (Anne Rice's sister wrote this one, about werewolves set immediately after the fall of Rome, and it's pretty fun)

Name one DVD/VHS you have that no-one on your friends' list has: Hrm...I am at a disadvantage for knowing [livejournal.com profile] darkling1 with this question, otherwise I'd say Monkeybone. Maybe Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who has that. If not, I'm gonna have to start rattling off all those Sci-Fi Channel Originals I taped off TV in high school, and that could get embarrassing...more so than just admitting to having taped them in the first place...

Name one place you've visited that no-one on your friends' list has: Rottnest Island, Western Australia, Australia. Most fun two and a half days I had on my vacation to Perth. Lots of friendly wee bitty wallabies, biking up and down the island, and sunsets at the end of the world.

Fun trivia fact: The comic book adaptation of Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealers was written by my father. He also did Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, and Superman 4: The Quest for Peace.

You're kidding! I mean, I know you're not, but that is AWESOME!!! Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer was my favorite stay-home-from-school-sick film. I watched it at least once a day whenever I had strep (which was once every year--my family's personal kryptonite). It's bonded to my soul from childhood, and I'm going to have to get the DVD because it has a sing along of the theme at the credits (I think), which I taught myself when I was little.

...I've never seen Rainbow Brite. At all.

That's the only Rainbow Brite I watched really until I got older. My nostalgia for it is mostly for the movie.

And as BSD would tell you, it was just made up to sell greeting cards, kinda like Hello Kitty only more specific.

I've been to Rottnest Island... TWICE... It's one of my favorite places in the world and I will find a way to go back there...

How they have no cars is wonderful, and the little furry friends that you can walk up and pet...

Le Sigh. You were the only one I had to worry about with Australia stuffs. I guess I can say that I was the only one to go diving off Rotto then? Or did you have to go and steal that too, missy?

I love Monkeybone. I can't help it. THat Brendan Fraiser's in it only is another selling point. CHris Kattan was pretty awesome too.

I tried to get rid of my second copy of the Animatrix tonight. Still no takers. I didn't use the disc to wipe my ass or anything, so what's going on?

Took a boat thingy and snorkeled, didn't get a chance to dive there.

You might be the only other person I know that has been there...

I don't know. I always thought of Rainbow Bright as yet another avatar of the drug culture, like Puff the Magic Dragon. I mean come on, she walks around with these colorful magic crystals that make depressed people happy when "they see all the pretty colors".

I have Monkeybone, though I usually don't admit to owning it, despite having liked the movie. I also refuse to explain why I bought it in the first place.

You will explain. I need to know. The answer. I require it.

I can tell you why the store sold it, but not why I chose to enter into the deal. It is impossible for me to tell.
