trinityvixenWent back to the student dentist again for my free cleaning. This was much less painful than the half job she did a week before the cavity filling. I got another set of free travel-size toothbrush, paste, and floss. All this is of the good.
She found another cavity. This is not of the good.
I told her it was okay to pass my name along to another student if they needed to do the filling. This is of the stupid.
Well, not really. The cavity is a teeny tiny one on the inside of my bottom front teeth. This will be filled with something called a composite restoration instead of an amalgam because the front teeth aren't subject to the same amount of stress as the back molars. Plus, for cosmetic reasons, you know.
I can only pray that no one else needs me at the clinic because the girl who did my other cavity has offered to do this new cavity, too, if none of her other classmates need me for their boards. I'm feeling a little more generous towards her despite the pain I went through two weekends ago because she got a DDS to look at my tooth today before making the call about it. He praised her job on my other filling, so at least I know she did it right.
More updates on the tooth situation to follow. Those of you who caught the full brunt of my frustration at the process last time, feel free to talk me out of this nonsense.

Fake teeth can be fun. You can take them out and scare children.
