Happy St. Patrick's Day to all
Mar. 17th, 2006 10:25 amI find it highly amusing that even the Cuban guy in our department is wearing a green shirt today.

I don't want to start up a whole cooking thing again, but thanks for the recommendations thrown my way yesterday. I don't know who suggested it, but I did try adding a little garlic powder, and that seemed to improve things a bit, as did a handful of other changes I made (more salt, pepper, concentrated chicken stock, less green pepper). The dinner was pretty good to me, but the other girls didn't really comment so much (though the one basically licked the plate clean of sauce, which I took to be a good sign).
Really, I'm more disappointed in the lackluster response to the kringle. At least I told them that the casserole wasn't exactly as the recipe predicted/dictated, but I assured them I'm quite good at baking cookies by now. Oh well.
*
And I dyed our milk green this morning. Lovely.

Am less sure about drinking around town with theKathy, but have promised to do some with
friendofsnarf which should be much more, erm, responsible probably. Going to have to watch out for the all-night partiers, clearly.

Date: 2006-03-17 04:42 pm (UTC)Really? Those philistines. You, my dear, make a most excellent and addictive kringle.
...you dyed the milk on purpose, right?
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Date: 2006-03-17 05:19 pm (UTC)And yes, the milk was on purpose. It's a tradition at my house. That and the green bagels. mmmmm green bagels...

Date: 2006-03-17 05:25 pm (UTC)Still, I resent Supes. Perhaps it's because Smallville is circling the toilet. Perhaps because the new movie gives me more reservations about it not sucking than X3. Perhaps it is because I like Batman, and there's only one way to really prove you're LIEK OMG BATMANS BIGGEST FAAAAN which is by hatin' on Superman.
Then again, maybe it's just because he's a weenie.
Batman kicks Superman's butt ^_^
Date: 2006-03-17 06:15 pm (UTC)I hope that means that you've read, seen, or at least heard of the graphic novel were an old batman and an old superman end up fighting, and batman wins the fist fight portion ^_^
