THE DVDs ARE HERE!!
Heh heh heh. Two weeks after I wanted to see Mumford, it arrives. I'm less keen on it, but I should be faintly dying to watch it by the time I get home. Also, hurrah for finally owning Dawn of the Dead! Now all I need to do is 28 Days Later and I'll be a complete zombie fan. Oh wait, I don't own Resident Evil or RE2 yet. Pish, I will wait for the third movie and buy some grand box set with more zombies than you can shake a stick at.
Zombies remind me of a dream I told Carrie about yesterday. Some of you might remember a particularly embarrassing crush I developed on Ryan Reynolds after seeing Blade: Trinity. Well, this past weekend I saw a particularly unflattering picture of him, and not in that they like caught him picking his nose or anything, just that he's not as hot outside that one movie. Anyway, this particular picture had him wearing a bright red polo shirt, and I dreamt that he was wearing the same thing and a lab coat, talking to a zombie like a general practitioner trying to determine what was wrong with his patient.
It's a zombie, Ryan. It was hissing and spitting and making those awesomely weird choking-on-blood-and-gore noises, but was strapped down. He kept trying to examine it anyway, and it kept trying to bite him. The moral of my dream is that I can be a spectator and be exasperated at my own subconscious. Another moral, after seeing that picture (it was for some ABC Family TV-movie), is that I won't watch anything with someone who's hot in it just because they're in it. Whereupon Carrie told me she expected that resolution to last maybe a week.
Which brings me to the last update: The Movie Club for February. Due to changing plans that will depend on my mother's generosity, I may not be in town on the 18th for the premiere of Hellblazer. However, if people would like to go see that en masse the Friday after the 18th, please let me know. I know, it's hard to hold out when it's a comic book movie, and better still, one starring fantastically hot people, but if I can't in fact make the 18th, I'll want someone to come with! If I don't end up being out of town, no problem, we make it the 18th.
For future reference, movie club (aka let's go to the movies once a month for sure club) screenings for the next few months will be as follows:
March -- Be Cool
April -- Sin City
