So, Superman is a good distraction from angsty LJ posts, yes it is. I planned on making one anyway before I got sidetracked.

Last night, I finished the third volume of the animated series, finally, because darkling1 scared me about the finale, a two-part episode ominously titled "Legacy." He'd warned me back when I saw Superman Returns for the first time that, if I didn't want to be depressed about Supes any more, watching that was not a good idea.

It was rather depressing, but really? It was mostly just bad. ( Woe is me, the third volume is half genius, half crap! )

Then you've got Superman II. Honestly, I wish Christopher Reeve was never Superman in that movie, I love his Clark Kent that much. ( Comic Book Guy sez: 'Best. Clark Kent. Ever.' )

I should just quit the Pit of Voles entirely. I need to hurt people there. In the worst way imagineable. I forgive them their trespasses of bad taste, horrible dialogue, nonsensical characterization, inane, pointless plotting, okay? They can screw up physics, chemistry, and anything higher science, but if they touch biology with their tainted fingers--rudimentary, physiological specifics in biology--I am going to rip them off.

So, here it is, my gift to the fanbrats, and I didn't even have to write it myself. God bless you, Wikipedia. READ IT, then write stories. Read, then write.

Why the world needs Superman

Siiiiiiiigh.

I'm majorly in love with Superman Returns, I realize. Not necessarily with Supes himself, but definitely the movie. I wish I could just figure out a clear reason why it haunts me so.
