Don't give Whedon all the credit...

Because I firmly believe that Nathan Fillion is responsible for some of the more interesting line-reads in Firefly/Serenity. darkling1, feiran, and I watched Slither last night, and man, that movie is disgusting but also hilarious. Really, I'm not sure I could watch it twice for the squick-factor (and I'm someone who routinely digests--no pun intended--zombie movies as part of her movie diet) because it really is that gross, but I kind of have to see it again some time just to catch all the goofiness. They make saying "shit" and "fuck" into high comedy. Line delivery iskey, and I think that Slither got that across pretty well.

But goddamn was it sickeningly gross. It doesn't help that it taps all the psychological fears--infection, monstrous birth, zombification--that already make me squirm. Add to that Michael Rooker (AH!!! SOOO CREEPY!!!) and a bunch of slimy slugs, and ::shudder::. I'm laughing and throwing up at the same time.

Okay, I know it's still just about that stupid joke that feiran made that I find outrageously funny, but I was perusing some fan stuff on Heroes and, of course, there's the question of what superhero names the characters should have.

But someone suggested Hiro's superhero title ought to be Time Lord and I died, okay? Because Hiro? As the Doctor? Me = exploded with adorable-osity. He even has his own companion already!
