I hate PETA.It's perfectly okay to objectify women in pursuit of forcing people to be vegetarians. Because people are only so much meat. Which...actually, we're opposed to...
Forgive us our bikinis and our shock tactics, but our message that all beings — both human and nonhuman — deserve compassion and respect is one that we must work hard to make heard.Riiiiiight. Their stunt with volunteers saran-wrapped into human-sized meat containers was performed on a hot day and went on for hours. Some of the volunteers passed out. We should totally ignore the fact that their "stunts" are nearly criminal with their disregard of human beings (and all good taste). Because animals are more important.
Here's an idea of how to stop animal cruelty: donate to organizations that
aren't PETA. PETA uses its money to do
this. And this. And this. If only all the money PETA had actually went to programs that would protect animals and promote vegetarianism by making it look a) healthy, b) delicious, and c) well-balanced as opposed to their campaigns which solely focus on making meat eaters look like monsters (have you forgotten
Mommy/Daddy Kills Animals! ?).
