So he's moved his act to the US! The Obamas are in a hotel because Johnny Howard gets the Blair House. Oh, well, okay, I guess first-come, first-serve, right? Can't be bitter just 'cause Howard is a douche.

Except that he wasn't scheduled for the one night he will be at the Blair House at the time the Obamas requested an early move-in so they could a) live near where their daughters are going to school, and b) go to that little inauguration thing.

I'm through being fair. The Bush Administration has all the right in the world to be gigantic assfaces and host one of their stable of misguided cock-suckers and throw over "the enemy" (which is, apparently, family unity and support for the First Daughters). But I've got the right to call them taint-sniffing shitlickers, too. Which I have done. So there.

I said we should go see the Gothic Fashion exhibit at FIT back in 2008 and here I am mentioning it again!

So, can we pick a weekend (not this one) and go? Museum is open 10-5! We need to see this exhibit that is all about our paaaaaain!!!

Some of you who have been panicking over LJ shutting down have been looking for alternatives. I suggest LJ Archive--saves the format all right, you can resync the same archive and thus don't need several copies to cover the months missed by the last backup.

The other best option that I've explored would have been LJ Book. I say would have because after having the FAQ, I have determined that there is no way in hell anyone is getting a book out of them any time soon--regardless of whether they sucker you into paying them not to do jack shit for you. Because they only allow 2-3 books to be made per hour. That is just not a feasible solution when literally thousands of people (to say nothing of communities) are probably rushing about trying to figure out how to save their journals.

Any other solutions people have found, please do share, and best of luck to you.
