Of interest
Yesterday, I spent way too long reading Kevin Smith's account of how he helped (or tried to) Jason Mewes (Jay, to you two or so folk who don't know that and would be reading this) quit his drug addictions. It's absorbing. I'm not even a huge Kevin Smith fan, but he's a fantastic writer, and the story couldn't be more crazy if he'd made it up. The ends of each installment (this story is 6 parts and still going) are a tad melodramatic, true, but Smith has a perfectly honest way of telling the story--he's doing it to tramp down the rumors, though I cannot say if they could be any worse than the truth--that makes that bearable.
This is the first installment: Me and My Shadow

TWoP's LOST reviews aren't as funny as the BSG ones, but I did so enjoy this bit of last week's episode review, I thought I'd share:
Jack starts to walk away, but Sawyer calls him "Amarillo Slim" and sarcastically asks if just because Jack watches poker on television, he thinks he can "tussle with the big boys," like a table with Kate and Hurley is a real high-rollers game. "How about you put your mangos where your mouth is?" says Sawyer, like Lost's actual writers are now writing slash themselves. Thanks for that.
Heee, that is so what I thought about the whole episode.

theKathy is the cutest thing ever. She compared over-proof Bundaberg rum to Dwarf bread. She wins at life.
