-I have drunk so much Diet Pepsi today (consequence of wearing my Diet Pepsi shirt?), it's ridiculous. Not ridiculous for me, really, since I think--think--I am still under the 2 Liter limit, but still, most of it was in the a.m.
-Housing is damned expensive in this city, even when it doesn't seem like it will be on paper. How does anyone ever have enough lying around to pay for deposits, broker's fees, and all that other garbage? Yipes. On the other hand, I should be getting a sweet check from my roommates for rent this month and then the security deposit that we get back when we move. Niiiice.
-I've been reading blogs about choice rights, gay marriage rights, patriarchy crap, so I'm in a pissy mood and I'm mad at just about everyone who ever thought having your genitals on the outside made you better. Bull. This isn't helped by the fact that I'm reading the chapter on women's suffrage movements in Sex in History and basically the only reason women got the vote was because they argued they were morally superior than men and should, therefore, have some way of exercising that divine influence over the corrupt government. That makes me pissed at feminists in days gone by while at the same time I have to be grateful for their work. I am grateful. I'm just not pleased to see the same problems back in the day at large in the public theater today only with different names (homophobia instead of misogyny, for example). The book is good, though, and I suspect the grrrr-sexism vibe I've got going was leftover aggravation from watching Just Friends.
-Speaking of, it's clear from the discussion my post about that movie generated that I don't know a lot of guys who would behave like that (or will admit to reducing relationships to those black-and-whites). I do know some, none who posted, mind, but some off or on LJ, but not many, who think that doing favors or being friendly in an intimate, trusting way means a girl should put out for you/love you (and a lot of the time it's in that order). That's lucky. Or I have excellent taste. Let's call it both.
-I was almost late to work because I had to buy carpets from the travelling camel in Animal Crossing. I am a sad, sad, sad creature.
