Time for happier postings and such.

Who would like to do dinner before THE MAY MOVIE? I don't get out until 6 pm from work, but I can probably be at/around the theater area by about 6:30 on Friday. I'm thinking cheap food is good (damned service fees--FANDAAANGOOOO!!!!! ::shakes fist::). I'm also thinking cheap eateries are good for the fact that I want to be waiting in line for the movie no later than 8:30 pm.

Speaking of, I need some folk to agree to be on that line with me to minimize the growling of people when more join us on line. That way, too, the heinous amounts of seat-saving won't drive the patrons who have sold out this show, too to murder us all. If I were to die before seeing Spider-Man 3, I think I'd be crying a lot in Hell (where I'm sure they'd be only too happy to fix me up with the direct-to-video sequel to Punisher or something).

Looks like there're 12 or so of us making it out for THE MAY MOVIE, so I'd just ask that at least half make the line-time with us. I'm perfectly willing to tempt y'all and make the wait unbearable with my Summer Movie Preview Entertainment Weekly with Spider-Man 3 on the cover. I also offer such irritation services as blathering idiotically about movies I want to see this summer that no one else does; talking about terrible TV shows I watch that I shouldn't; and otherwise discussing personal info at way too high a volume for a public setting. See what you've got to look forward to?

My roommate shockingly invited me to a happy hour for her work on Friday. Since she apparently works with some very geeky single men, I will be going, but I doubt it will run very long (and if it does, I'll make my excuses). I don't know about dinner, but I'll plan to be up there for the line-waiting.

I can be there to wait on line at 8:30, and probably for dinner too.

They obviously aren't geeky enough, if they aren't going to see Spider-Man 3 too. Unless they're going to a midnight showing, in which case you should snag one of them right away.

Jethrien and I are interested in dinner (especially since that works well with her coming straight from work). Maybe organize via email?

It'll be my first question: When are you seeing Spider-Man 3? Those who say what? will be immediately qualified. Those who say they've already seen it get a gold star. Of course, if they've already seen it, I'd probably make them stand on the other side of the bar to avoid spoilers.

I might try for dinner. Not sure about Ben since he doesn't get here til 6 and it's difficult for us to get right to the city that fast, but maybe.

I'm afraid I'll probably need to beg off standing in line, on account of I'm not supposed to stand around on my foot for extended periods yet. :(
