How evil should I be?
Ordered myself the new version of Fantastic Four (whee! free ticket for the sequel!) through Best Buy online and I have an in-store pickup. The e-mail comes to me with the following at the bottom:
Low price guarantee:
If your product is available at a lower price online or in the store at the time of pickup, your credit card and/or Gift Card will automatically be adjusted to reflect the lowest price available.
Question: do I bother seeing if they count sales on the DVD with this promotion? Because, with the sale, DeepDiscount's copy would be something like $1cheaper. I don't know that I feel like being a dick over one dollar, but I never get to fuck with people for these things and I think they know that most people won't, which is why they're so willing to toss that sucker on there.
So, how evil do I feel like being?

1. They probably don't count discounts/promotions.
2. This "low price guarantee" things virtually always involve either complicated online forms, mail-away paperwork, or hassling an underpaid salesclerk who doesn't know what he's doing. It'll waste an obscene amount of your time.
3. It's a dollar. If it was a noticable amount of money, it'd be worthwhile. But you'd waste more time getting the dollar than your time is worth. (A dollar, by my employer's reckoning, for instance, is worth less than two minutes of my time.)
