I'm on a roll
Oct. 2nd, 2007 11:56 amMuch more to say about last night's episode of Heroes than I thought seeing as I a) was drinking while watching a different, new show beforehand, and b) watched an episode of Dexter with
feiran immediately after. I'm impressed with me. Check out the review at Pink Raygun. Spoilers!
And, yes, the blatant disregard for zoology in the most tangential of scenes bothered me for the whole night. The show gets away with murdering genetics, but it crosses the line when it starts to attack a subject nearer and dearer to my heart.
Okay, so the character of West and his eventual plot direction was clearly written by a guy. The "my stalker is really just in love with me so that makes it okay" vibe has definitely been brought to you by the same crack team that thought Claire would plan revenge on her attempted rapist (and could think it would ever ameliorate the attack). Still, West grew on me a little. It's nice to see how rattled someone with an ability can get. It's what Matt's story should have been. All the supers are a little too comfortable with their abilities. It's refreshing to see a kid who's in full control but still completely scared and alone. Made me like his judgmental ass better anyway.
And I totally awwww'd when Mohinder came home to his sleeping house-husband. Mohinder's a lousy scientist, but I bet he's a good mommy.
feiran and I both totally spluttered over the previews for next week. We've gone from such grand pronouncements as "Save the cheerleader, save the world" to "WHAT'S IN THE BOX!!!???" Sigh. And I still miss Sylar. Where is that fabulous bitch, really?
