The injustice of this simply burns.

It's almost as bad as Charmed going a full 11 seasons. While other struggling, possibly brilliant shows get axed before they even have a chance to form an identity.

And I have to keep reviewing. I mean, I like writing reviews--it exercises my ire at plot failings--but Smallville needed to be put to sleep four years ago. This is just...you wonder why shows with real pedigrees for marathon running (like Firefly or just about anything else Fox ever cancelled) didn't get picked up by the CW.

Laugh now, but you realize that Smallville is the the longest running Superman TV show of all time, right? That Tom Welling has a better claim to be the "real" face of Superman than, say, Steve Reeves? Doesn't that make you want to tear off your own head and shit down your own neck? As I've said, just once and a while say, "Y'know, this show sucks so much, I'm gonna talk about THIN MINTS." Do that for a few paragraphs, then say, "Oh yeah, Smallville. Blahna, homoeroticism, dumb cameos, bad acting, blah blah blah, you can fill in the blanks." Then you're done!
