Oh no.

I like to think I've been fair about this. "Oh, it's Ed Norton? Well, he's really good. Okay, Liv Tyler, but Ed Norton! So what if they made this movie like five years ago? I'm sure there's new ground to..."

::dies inside a little::

I didn't see anything aside from the shape the bad guy took and the quality of the special effects to give me any hope about this one.

To add insult to injury, SuperHeroHype totally teased me with the suggestion that Iron Man might open April 30th instead of May 2 (TWO WHOLE DAYS EARLIER!) and now that appears not to be the case. Also, this poster is still what they're going with. Yeah, somebody somewhere was like, "What is this movie about? A dude in a mechanical super-suit? I guess we can work that in there, but we're already committed to putting Lenin front-and-center. No, we don't care that he's not in it. Everybody loves Lenin! And Mary-Jane's there, too. What do you mean 'wrong hero'?"

Sigh

That's so weird. Is it separate from the Eric Bana one?

It may appear to have superficial similarities--almost identical plots, same characters from comics reappearing, et al.--but it is, in fact, entirely separate from The Hulk.

To be fair, The Hulk was one of the worst movies I've ever seen, so chances are good that even if this is a terrible movie, it will still be better.

What I can't figure is why Edward Norton is attached. He hasn't always starred in hits, but he generally takes on semi-worthy projects. I just can't figure out why this.
