That's why I love her!

I got disconnected from my mother for all of about one minute, not longer, and in that interval, she scheduled a haircut for me with the lady she and I both adore. For tomorrow morning! AWESOMESAUCE.

Last night I dreamt an episode of House. There was a case going on in the background and stupid Cameron kept showing up to be like "See, if you could be wonderful like this in your personal life, I would totally do you" to House all the time. I think there was a sex scene, but I'm not working too hard at remembering that because, for the last time, I HATE CAMERON.

The most awesome thing though? Right at about when the show throws in the obligatory curveball, it also happened in my dream that the case took a sudden turn. Usually, on the show, this happens about twenty minutes from the end and they spend ten minutes dicking around until House solves the case. In my dream, the curveball came, and House (and the camera!) whirled around to look at the clock. Then he turned around to face out at the audience and held up his thumb and index finger about an inch apart while wearing a shit-eating grin as the show went to commercial. WAY TO BREAK THE FOURTH WALL, DREAM TELEVISION!

Don't you love it when shows follow such a clear timetable? "Oh look, we're twenty minutes in--time to find a second body!"

Ah, Law and Order, what would we do without you? Seriously, the show's been on for 20+ freakin' years, gone through every cast change possible, and it still works the same formula as ever. WHY DOES IT WORK? I used to think it lived by the grace of Jerry Orbach alone, but it's still plugging along even though ::tear:: he is no longer with us.

Well, some people enjoy knowing what to expect, I guess. And with L&O if you only like one half you can just tune in for that part and pretend it's a half-hour show: "Hey honey, Order's about to come on!" :)

I think I liked the Order guys better. If they're the cops. That should be a given, since the other half is "Law," but you never know. THEY DO BOTH THINGS ON BOTH SIDES, IT IS CRAZY.

Naw, it's the other way 'round--first comes "Law" (the cops), then "Order" (the lawyers).

[identity profile] trinityvixen.livejournal.com 2008-05-27 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
But the cops keep the order, and the lawyers, well, they have "law" in the job description!

I'm serious, I've debated which side is which with myself for most of my life at this point. Still not satisfied that one is one and not the other.

See, and I figured the cops uphold the law and the DAs are always bringing things to order. Who knows? It could keep me awake at night--but it won't. :)

20+ years? Err... I think it's more like 10. There's been enough spinoffs that it feels like forever, though...

More like twenty, actually. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098844/) I know of what I speak, yo.
