It's movie quotes, so, of course, I KICKED ASS

Congratulations. I bow to your DVD collection. You probably have half a dozen other movies or TV shows I forgot to include.

I bet most of the folks on my f-list would do very well, but I consider myself extra-super-special because I haven't seen maybe ten or so (of about 60) films at all, and the rest not in more than five years. I ROXXORS.

This is why you rock in Scene-It. :)

Dude, what does it say about you that you've beaten me at the game? For serious! You're of an elite, select group!

[identity profile] chuckro.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, wait--you've been beaten at Scene-It? How drunk were you at the time?

[identity profile] trinityvixen.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd claim to be drunk in order to keep my record clean, but, alas not. [livejournal.com profile] deltagrl beat me fair and square. She, my mother, and [livejournal.com profile] moonlightalice are in the group. [livejournal.com profile] feiran beat me once at Marvel Scene It. I would contest that this is a fair beating since she knows the comics better, but the bias was clearly in favor of those who'd seen the movies (and I've seen all of them whygodwhy?!), so I've no excuse, really.

Wow - you are made of awesome! I will have to try the test later to see how miserably I fail! LOL! :)

[identity profile] trinityvixen.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Good luck! It's not so bad. The movie quotes are pretty obvious for most of them, and they don't reuse a movie, so you could do process of elimination. I did!

[identity profile] edgehopper.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. I only got 45.

[identity profile] trinityvixen.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
See, the Labyrinth or The Dark Crystal ones could have really screwed me. However, I know David Bowie's foibles well enough to know he was the Goblin King, and they, helpfully, referred to goblins in one quote. Score!

Scweeeet!!!

Boo hiss, I missed two!

If you don't consider yourself a geek, perhaps you could start.

If you do, you're probably mad at me for picking ambiguous quotes. (I swear they're the best IMDB had to offer... you might want to re-watch some of your movies).

55, though I was playing process of elimination on a bunch of them.

[identity profile] trinityvixen.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I did to and did so very luckily using my basic sketchy idea of what the movies I hadn't seen were about. Sky Captain and Warlock could have really screwed me. Fortunately, I knew enough about the former to cover. And I still haven't seen it! FTW!

[identity profile] jethrien.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I loved Sky Captain so very much. It was just so damn...stylish.

[identity profile] trinityvixen.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
It sure looked pretty. Some day, I'll get around to borrowing it from my parents. They're like my second Netflix!
