Debate Paaaaarty!
Oct. 7th, 2004 12:27 pmOkay, so the debates are 9 o'clock again this Friday, and, as civic minded members of society, we plan to engage in this showing of our candidates' platforms by watching it en masse while drinking to celebrate/drown our sorrows (should the need arise).
I'm proposing people show up at our apartment around 8-ish. We're asking that you bring something for the party, nothing huge or expensive, some vittles, skittles, and, but of course, liquor if you want. We'll have a little, I'll try to snag more Williams-Sonoma stuff if I can, but bring what you would like to drink if you want to be sure it'll be there. BYOB, basically, but we'll have stocked up on soda, ginger ale, and cream soda from the local Associated Market, so that will be there.
So, Friday, 8-ish, BYOB and somewhat BYOS (snacks), though some will be provided. If you want dinner, there's a Famiglia's right below us and the best Chinese in the city outside of Chinatown across the street. RSVP here or to partner-in-crime, aka
feiran.

Date: 2004-10-07 04:16 pm (UTC)I'll be coming in on a train arriving in the 7:30 neighborhood, so I can in theory be around there at 8ish or a bit later, thus being that amtrak is usually late.
Hmm, plan is in motion. *giggle* =)

Date: 2004-10-08 07:24 pm (UTC)lol the rest of the world does care (especially Australia, because sadly, your election results will probably affect us more than our own....)
I think some Americans though, think that everyone will be as rabidly excited and hype-crazy as they are about this.
