And I know "science" does not apply in this show, but the whole concept of creating a drug that would give someone powers (that was actually small enough that you could write it on a piece of paper and not need computer modeling) and then tearing that formula into four pieces and keeping them seperate so no one can ever use it... Science cannot be unlearned. If someone figured it out, it's quite likely someone else will. You don't need the precious piece of paper at all. The idea that it would be worth so much effort, or that you could prevent it's use by ripping up the paper, is ludicrous.
I mean, look at how succesfully we've managed to control the science behind H-bombs. Making the study of anything related to that classified has done exactly jack shit to keep people from figuring it out.
