Well, Disney is aware that it's racist. But it's an important film. It deserves to be on DVD. Any release Disney eventually puts out will definitely be a release focused on its historical relevance as opposed to entertainment value.
Also, you should see A Goofy Movie. It has great songs and it's a surprisingly good father-son bonding story (although your interest in such a thing may be low...). Seriously, it doesn't suck. The direct-to-video sequel is horrendous, but the first movie is actually a(n extremely minor) Disney classic.
