Fandom meme!

I lack this thing you call sub...subtle...something about not blaring one's opinion, loudly and often. So this is a perfect meme for me because I will be unfailingly honest. My hand to the Great Noodly One's appendage.

Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.

I don't hate on the non Old Skool Who-fans unless they're being obnoxious about how THEY DON'T HAVE TO SEE THE ORIGINAL SERIES, GAW-AWD. I mean, saying "I just don't have interest/never enjoyed that" is okay. It's very different from what's on now, and it's totally possible to like the one and not the other. (Likewise, I have no patience for the Old Skool Only crowd hating on the newbies. GET ALONG, FANDOM, OR SO HELP ME...)

I buy that the Doctor = love, but I, too, get the squick when it becomes sexual in any way. That Blue!Ten being with Rose makes me almost ill. (And shouldn't he be dead? If Donna couldn't be half-human, half-Time Lord, he shouldn't be able to, either. Not without going mad at least!)

Yes, dear, we all want Anthony Stewart Head to come back :P

They have to at least sample it -- it's perfectly acceptable to only like SF if it has annoying britpop losers and reality TV contestants, but at least look at the old stuff.

A half-human/half-gallifreyan would seem to have 1.5 hearts. 6 ventricles? Whatever.

I move through fandom a lot, and I don't demand that anyone see anything. You just can't make them a lot of the time. Would it be nice? Sure. But it just isn't worth listening to fan-brats. Anyone not willing to investigate old stuff after enjoying new stuff isn't worth interacting with anyway.
