I'm officially in mourning...
Dec. 29th, 2004 03:18 pmI'm sorry to come off so shallow in the midst of millions of lives being ruined in Southeast Asia, but this just came to my attention:
Jerry Orbach is dead.
Lenny Briscoe, as most of us know him, is gone from us forever. For more than a decade, half of my life at this point, he has always been there, with his smirk and his grin. He pushed beyond the fiction, too, supporting the PBA's requests for better salaries for NYC police officers. The man has been there, with his patented sense of humor and, as TNT calls it, "The Wisecrack," every episode, every time.
I'll miss you, Jerry. Watching "Law and Order" is now a way to grieve. Anyone have a copy of "Beauty and the Beast?"
