Adam 12
Mmm, I can't decide which member I like best out of Adam 12. They seem genuinely cool with just playing covers of songs, which I kinda admire. I mean, yes, woo-hoo artistic integrity, new music etc etc, but sometimes you just want to hear a band play "She Hates Me" and rock out to it. I like the dark-haired guy (his name is Daniel, I can marry him!), but Carrie was catching his eye more tonight than me, or so she says. The blonde not-so-freqeuently singing guitarist that Carrie said was eying me last week didn't really do so tonight, though he came to the edge of the stage lots during the second set which was cool--some people took camera-phone pics with him. I *did* catch the eye of the lead singer, twice even, and he smiled. He's good looking enough for that to be enough for me. He smiled and nodded because I was jumping to their rendition of "Take on Me," which really rocks my world.
I'm such a groupie. I plan to spend every Monday night I can at that place. Next week, I'm going early even to see if any of the band is hanging around before their set--the guitarist who posed for pics was there in the bar last week. I was like "where do I know that guy from...?" to Carrie, not that she would know, and then he turned up on stage. *drools* Band boys, so hot. So, so hot.
Next week, though, I am *so* going to win the beer-sculling for free booze contest. They had the "Battle of the Sexes Beer Sculling" onstage and the winner got a free three-drink card. The girl got a 3-second headstart and still lost. The guy was possibly the SLOWEST male sculler I've ever seen (oh, translation: sculling = chugging), too. I could have beaten him without the headstart and have been finished before he even began with the headstart. But I am ever honorable, they called for an Aussie who liked beer, and I am no Aussie. I will not be so generous next time. The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am, etc etc. (have just watched Triumph the Insult Comic Dog making fun of Star Wars geeks, so am in funny mood).
Yawn, it's late, and I've got work to do. Night night all!
