I haven't read any of the comics, but I am aware of Captain America's general character and you make good points. Did you see Push by the way? And, if so, your thoughts? Anyway, a couple friends and I discussed the Captain America casting dilemma after work this evening as well. My friend doesn't like Chris Evans as a prospect because he thinks he's not physically imposing enough. I don't know. I mean, sure, he's a beast in a lot of the comics and animated features, but that's a little over the top.
Ah, so THAT'S who's playing Thor! I heard they chose someone, but I didn't know the name and still wouldn't if you hadn't provided me with that handy little link. Yeah, I saw Star Trek twice and never knew his name. Huh...I have to agree that he could have fit as the Cap as well. When I first heard they were making a live action Thor film, my first reaction was "they should get Triple H from WWE to play Thor!" 'cause he absolutely looks the part... it's just too bad he can't act. : )
