But I can speak high school French! My boss' mother just called and my boss has left to run errands. I managed to say the following in French to her.

Elle n'est pas ici. She (my boss) is not here.

Je ne sais pas quand. I don't know when (as in when she'll be back.

D'accord. Okay (I'll let her know).

All I can say to that is: JE SUIS UN HOMME!!!

It's silly, but it's a quote from "The Tick" cartoon. The evil child with his brain in a glass case kidnaps the Tick and turns him into a two-headed parakeet that can only speak high school French. Whatever mistakes he made in that sentence, I am not responsible for.

But it was a really cute parakeet, and his voice was hilariously squeaky, especially when he then laid an egg and cried out, "Une babee!"
