New Zealand
Sep. 22nd, 2003 02:02 amJust a quick little update type thing.
Yep, liking the New Zealand, nice place, nice atmosphere, getting to sleep whenever I want, just not getting to choose when I wake up, apparently. Also, am eating a lot of pizza. I like pizza. It's a substitute for chips, but the past couple of days I've gotten chips ON pizza, which is the coolest thing to put on pizza that is a food in its own right besides like ziti.
Carrie's friends are all very nice, doing their best to include me by being mean to Carrie, so I feel right at home--or at least like I'm surrounded by like-minded peoples.
I need to get off my ass and see if I can find some things to go see elsewhere, as we should be renting a car (provided we can afford it) to get up to Auckland.
Other things that were done:
-went to mini-con: Armageddon (watched WETA presentation, anime, made faces at insane childs playing Yu-Gi-Oh)
-went to the flat of doomy-doom (watched anime there too, internetted it)
-saw Pirates of the Caribbean (again, but with neophytes who rather liked it until the whole 'zombie monkey pirate' thing came up, I mentioned I didn't like zombies, and then got treated to zombie impressions--sigh, why is that universal???)
-futzed around with my computer (DVD player funked up--can play with non-movie features only, so no movies--side note, may be able to get it de-regioned if Sam can manage it)
-slept some more (I really like doing that)
