It Begins...

Having been asked by several people this weekend, I'm getting around to posting this.

BATMAN BEGINS

You're not a geek any more if you haven't heard of this one, or possibly you're just blind since the posters are everywhere. As of today, there weren't enough showing options to merit seeing it at 34th Street, so I'm thinking maybe we'll go to the east side for a change and hit the Loews Orpheum on 86th and 3rd. Show's at 10:15 pm.

The only question is the day. A few people requested we not see the film on opening night, and it being tomorrow and all, that's probably wise. It leaves Thursday and Friday for people, and I'm probably busy Thursday (happy b-day ivy03!). This show will comfortably allow for travel in and out of the city whatever day.

So now you know. Sound off.

EDIT: I forgot. I'm going to try and go home this weekend for Father's Day. Because of a graduation party in Jersey on Saturday, I need to go home to get a car on Friday. If I'm not able to get a car, this doesn't apply, but ideally, I am looking to make a train home after the movie Friday. 11 pm won't work for me. Something 10ish. If we need to do it on the west side and lower, that's fine, but nothing later than like 10:30, I'd say. We're all going to buy in advance so we make it, and we can save seats for people coming late.

I'd say Friday, esp if it's going to be a 10:15 showing. Late movies are cool, but not so much when you have to work the next day.

There's also Kip's Bay at 10:25, and Regal Stadium at 10:15. My vote would be for Regal, but I'm open to the other two.

I'd vote Friday as well, for even later than that -- I might be able to make a 10:15 @ the Orpheum, but I'd like the cushion.

I'd like to vote for the Lincoln Center Loews, personally -- it's right where I'll be that evening and -- IMAX

Friday is Eugene's last night in New York before a very early flight to Clarion, so we're gonna opt for seeing the movie Wednesday instead. Sorry, chickpea--I did want to clutch and squeal about Christian Bale together, but we can have our maskedman!squeeing when you're back from home.

If anyone else wants to join us on opening night, we're going to the Loews Orpheum at 86th and 3rd at 10:15 Wednesday.

Depending on how long it takes for me to get there from work, I'm getting ticket for the Imax show. Either 7 or 11 on Friday night. I just have to see how long it takes me to walk up there tonight. Come on people, a theatre where there's no such thing as a bad seat!!!!
