earthrise can tell you, I am a barrel of monkeys when I donate. I think I get nervous by getting giddy, and I sure do get plenty giddy. Last night, on the blood bus, I was off the walls, having to holler to theKathy (she wasn't allowed past a certain point because of insurance and the threat of needles), and doing most of the blather about my Star Wars lego collection (both in real life and in video game format). The two girls there besides us looked like they thought I was mad. That's fine, I probably was. The girl running the donation center was the same blonde chick from last time, and she remembered me when I told her about the juice and goodies I took home last time. This time, I got another shirt and I had to steal a gallon of juice (hey, it was outside, unattended, among college students--the lady knows I'm a regular and those college kids aren't to be trusted around free food, let me tell you).
It's a good thing I ate this morning, or I'd be more out of it for sure. I just have to keep in mind things I want to do before going home and collapsing. One: must buy and send out birthday cards to Liz M and my sister, Drew. For Liz, I'm sorry I didn't get it out sooner, I swear I thought your birthday was after Drew's for some stupid reason. I'll call you! Two: go with theKathy to Toys-R-Us after work. Three: meet up with Liz C and give her her birthday present.
Four: collapse well earned.
