In the year 2003, Uma Thurman will...
Oct. 21st, 2003 11:19 pmHeh, just got back from Kill Bill: Vol. 1. Only realized as it ended that Amy had no idea it was meant to be a two-parter (well, okay, it was originally meant to be a friggin' long movie, but I had to explain to her that there was another volume to come. This seemed to confuse her more as she was like "Wait, this is just the intermission?" when the credits started rolling at the end. Eventually all was sorted out, and I'm looking forward to the second volume.
Hey, people in America, when did it come out for you guys? And Michelle, do you know which song on the soundtrack was the one they used in the trailer? I really loved that one (the music was, as was much of the movie, priceless). You'll have to let me know what else is good on it. This is one Quentin Tarantino movie I can actually stand. Pulp Fiction was blah, never took the time for his other movies, never was really interested.
Another reason to like Australia:
For the last recitation (tutorial) for my Indigenous Studies class, we are going to a pub. Yes, we are meeting at a bar for my last class. With the teacher--the teacher for the whole subject, as in lectures, people. He happens to run my tutorial, and this is his idea of a great last class tradition. So, we are going to the pub together as a class. At 4:15 in the afternoon. For Aussies, that's practically three-four hours too late to get startedly properly. Man, this is cool as!

Date: 2003-10-21 03:50 pm (UTC)Me three. Huh...didn't realize Kill Bill was a two-parter either, but it makes me less inclined to see it, not more. I hope movies aren't moving in that direction generally; sometimes a quick fix is just what you want.
