I could post about the memorial service today, but I'm too drained of the emotions that spilled forth to bother. It's easier now not to dwell upon how I cried and sniffled my way through a truly happy service. Happy in the sense that we all got to admit aloud how much we loved this friend, and I got to learn more about her than I ever had before. I drank a Jack and coke in her honor (she loved Jack Daniels), and my mom had a glass of port. We were together and friendly with each other after the service, which she would have hated, but which, and this was the wonderful part about her, she told her son to go ahead and have if he needed it. The service was for those who needed it, who needed to feel as if we said goodbye real and proper-like. It was closure and it was good to have.

Nothing more to add save that my mother took a lamp from this lady's home (with son's permission, of course) that is truly hideous. This friend would be tickled by that, and that's what matters.

And here's a meme because I can't write any more without breaking down into tears (it's already getting blurry here) and I don't have tissues handy:

iTunes meme -- Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] saikogrrl:

Sort by song title:
first: "Land of the Lost" - Family Guy
last: Zoot Suit Riot - Cherry Poppin' Daddies (the actual last two are in Russian, and I can't reproduce that here faithfully).

Sort by time:
shortest: Kenshin - Oro (0:00)
longest: Arlo Guthrie - Alice's Restaurant (the actual longest shouldn't count because it's burned off a song with a hidden track 11 minutes after the song ends, so this is the longest continuous entry)

Sort by album:
first: 'Hours...' - David Bowie
last: Zooropa - U2

Top Five Most Played Songs:
1. All the Love in the World - Nine Inch Nails (44)
2. Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go!) - Garbage (35)
3. Bohemian Like You - The Dandy Warhols (34)
4. Cells - The Servant (32)
5. (tie) Passive - A Perfect Circle; Supersprode - Freezop (30)

I'll have to fix that in iTunes. I only have the one anyway.
