Might I recommend the entries on "The Law" in particular? The one on incest is exceedingly interesting given that the books preceding Leviticus are so choc-full of incest that violates 'the Law' it's astounding. Even the less ickier bits, like not marrying two sisters while both are still alive, the Bible manages to find 'Holy' forefathers who broke it. Way to go!

I'm glad to know that since my family doesn't preach a religion other than Judaism, I don't need to stone them to death. The fact that both of my parents are agnostic at best is beside the point. : )

My religion growing up was Lutheran. I still identify that way, mostly, but I was attending a church that more or less modified its methods in order to attract people because attendance was low. That really sort of soured me for religion--like any other business, they need customers.

I still believe in God, but I don't believe in the institution so much.
