So far this week, I've cut down my inbox folder from 87 pages of e-mails to 60. I'm pretty fucking amazed by this. I've been meaning to move all the e-mails over from this account to store them at my gmail account, I just never do more than a few pages at a time. But I think I've made progress. Of course, now I have 60 pages of e-mails that are less easy to sort out which I want to keep or not, as the easier decisions (old ads for sales at Deep Discount, alerts about order statuses, work e-mails) have been made. Hrrrm.

I've got a good vibe going this week. Despite the fact my work load varies from day to day (Tuesday bored, Wednesday busy as nuts), I've just had a decent week. I can't believe it's already Thursday.

I've gotten through thirteen, fourteen chapters of The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge. I've got a feeling I'm edging towards the finish, as I can no longer buy upgrades of any significant amount. That's fine. I need to replay chapters until I get better scores. That's how I've stretched the game out to being nearly twenty hours of play time--just replaying to get scores that unlock shit and earning bonuses to buy more stuff. Not to say the game isn't fun, but I'm not possessed by it or anything. I sit and play for five hours and then I'll leave it for a week or two. Fun, not stellar. It's getting less fun as I come closer to the end (the puzzles are a little more maddeningly annoying instead of challenging), but I'll finish it with good feelings towards it.

I may be coughing up blood, this is so funny. The snark combined with the sarcasm combined with the dead pan. My lord.

It's a way-old Salon article, but it's priceless. You know exactly what you're getting from the title: Do loose chicks sink dicks?

::titters::

My favorite part?
In fact, Stepp continues, "for a sizable number of young men, the fact that they can get sex whenever they want may have created a situation where, in fact, they're unable to have sex." That's right. "According to surveys, young women are now as likely as young men to have sex and by countless reports are also as likely to initiate sex, taking away from males the age-old, erotic power of the chase." Countless reports! Sizable numbers! Call the police! Vague and unquantifiable numbers of women want biggish amounts of sex!

...some vaguely Mannequin-related trivia!

Did you know...

...that Andrew McCarthy is not, in fact, eating out of dumpsters these days; has even had a job in TV in the past decade; and he's going to be in The Spiderwick Chronicles?

...THAT ESTELLE GETTY IS STILL ALIVE!?! Holy balls, that woman isn't as old as she seems. Good for her!

...that the sequel to Mannequin--Mannequin 2: On the Move--starred Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Herman of Herman's Head? I am disturbed at how often former players from Herman's Head show up in stuff ("often" meaning "ever"). What a truly awful show that was. I would like to believe that the only reason Hank Azaria and Yeardley Smith were on there was to be able to survive while The Simpsons cast was still getting dick pay.

...that Doug Liman (of Bourne movie and Mr. and Mrs. Smith fame) directed a little-known film starring Andrew McCarthy as a slimy git (and, coincidentally, Kristy Swanson! Mannequin stardom clearly leaves your career in a circular wreck of bad movies). Want a bigger suprise? I've actually seen it! It had a pre-Ally Calista Flockhart, and--hilariously--a young Dave Chapelle as a severe agoraphobe. His reason for never leaving his subterrainean computer lab? A BODY FELL ON HIM ONCE. I'm sorry, I find that to goddamned funny.

This has been your movie trivia from me, the human IMDB.
(Oh, okay, fine, I supplemented with some help from the real IMDB. But not much!)
