I don't need to do a poll to ask who among our number wants to see X-Men 3. The default answer should be a resoundingly positive. Even if you have your doubts as to quality (and I do, trust me), you're going to go see it because we are all geeky here.

So, how does 8:45 pm on Friday May 26th at the 34th Street AMC/Loews multiplex (where we saw Mission: Impossible III, or rather, some of us did) sound? I'm open to alternate suggestions, but I'll remind people that this the cheapest option within the city. It's ridiculously cheap, even. Right now, over on Fandango, I'm getting a total cost of $10.00 (when did they lower that crazy service fee to $0.50!?!) if you order online (and make no mistake: this will sell out, so buy them early).

I suggest we go to this show (neither too late nor too early), and make a concerted effort to put ourselves in line no less than half an hour before the show. I don't mind seeing M:I3 up close, but I'd rather have a nice easy view for X-Men 3. For serious, if I can't see Phoenix being awesome perfectly, I'll explode.

This is the part on Sprockets where you leave your answers in the comments.

ETA: The alternative proposal to this show/time/location is the 7:15 pm showing at the Regal Cinemas in Union Square. Choose your destiny.

...oh. Okay. I was thinking the Union Square theater for the 7:15 show, but we can do this, too. It's cheaper, at least.

That's doable for most people. I will have trouble getting down there because I don't get out of work until 6pm. But if people prefer it, I'll be open to it. Let me edit the post to include that as an option...

I'm going to be fine with either, but I think Q might have issues getting to the 7:15 as well.

Okay, so it looks like the 8:45 is more popular. Could I ask you to reply-all to my birthday movie email with the Fandango link, so the non-LJ folks can get tickets?

Surely, I can do so and will tomorrow first thing.

Happy early birthday!

I know I can make either show, but there are quite a few people who may have problems getting to a 7:15 show (plus lets not forget just how long of a line this movie is going to generate). So for those reason I'm throwing my vote with the 8:45 show. Now of course that being said, I think we should all be there by 7:45 to get in line.

I vote for the 8:45 one, too. I'll drag Ben along too.

I just picked up my ticket for 8:45pm, and the guy behind the counter said the line for the movie starts at 7pm. While I don't think we all need to be there so early, having a few of us on line around that time would help a lot with getting seats.
