They turned the AC off overnight in my section of the building. Imagine outside, take a few degrees off and subtract the humidity, and you have our lab. This is VERY BAD for experiments, and it's making concentrating on anything impossible.

That, and I think the stupid fucking Spanish guy didn't close the fridge all the way. I saw it was ajar, and Roman put his hand in to touch the shelves and they were warm. Fuck, if that ruins stuff, I'm telling Karima it was the Spanish guy whether it was or not.

They just turned the lights off in here, so I can't see to do work except by the light of the monitor, but at least we still have our AC.

They tried turning the lights off in here. Someone went and turned them back on. We're turning off machines and everything we can, but the temperature is not coming down. It's about 84 in here, but because the air is just trapped and we're all with the machines and each other, it feels like five degrees warmer.

I'd trade internet for AC at this point, but I don't think anyone else would do that.

Yeah, I don't have AC at home. I've been surviving by staying at work for seven hours a day. And I have class tonight. Maybe Morningside is better off than Washington Heights.

We've got emergency generators here that have been getting quite the workout, as do most such institutions. But still, woe...
