Slow news day, so how's about this hi-larious article from yesterday's SomethingAwful update? The title: Blue Stripe: The Life and Times of a Holodeck Janitor. About ST: TNG, and worth a gander.

Also, on the heels of watching the Aquaman pilot, I read the TWoP review of it, and I think it answers the question viridian posed to me about my own review, which was "What the F is Mercy Reef?"

And, oh yeah, Mercy Reef. Wasn't that the horrible, awful name this show was supposed to have instead of just Aquaman? I mean, come on, guys. Mercy Reef? Did you really think it was gonna get picked up with a name like that? Why not just call it Compassion Cove or Humanitarian Peninsula? How about The Isthmus of Caring?

I have a feeling the weird sounding name was part of the reason for Wonderfalls's failure. Not quite as much as Fox's incoherent scheduling, but still...

Yeah, but Mercy Reef was to be on the WB, and they've had plenty of stupidly named shows (One Tree Hill is sooooo descriptive).

Fox doesn't have any more or any fewer stupidly titled shows than any other network.
