Userpic Meme from
saikogrrl:
Look at your LJ userpics list. If you have fewer than 50 icons, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, and what significance it has.

This is a poorly shrunken version of an adorable fan art I found. It's my default. I wuv Spike Spiegel, this makes him even more adorable. Hopefully, some of his cuteness rubs off on me, even when I'm ranting and foaming at the mouth from so much cursing it could make sailors' ears bleed.

I made it myself! One of a very few that I did on my computer at work. I tried to add text to it, but it a) was beyond my exceedingly meager Photoshop skills, and b) the picture's funny enough that it doesn't need it. I save it for posts of
viridian's where she manages to shock me. Or where the world in general is amazingly stupid.

My angry icon. For when I absolutely, positively must insist that the person arguing with me cease and desist being stupid enough to disagree with me. Or else: VIOLENCE.

Otherwise known as the cheeky monkey Superman icon. Mostly for the making of
feiran go giggly and cute, which, contrary to popular opinion, I don't find odious all the time.

Inferior, perhaps, to
viridian's fantastic sneering Glory icon ("You're so fucking stupid it hurts"), this was a much needed "Your stupidity causes me physical pain" icon. I have my WTFs, I have my shocked, and I have my violence-ensuing icons (huh, wouldn't you know, most of those have appeared on this meme already). I just needed one that was snarky and wonderful. It helps that I've been re-watching Farscape and I realize just how wonderful and in love with John Chrichton I am. Woot.
I cheered myself up after yesterday's purging pre-this-day sharing by watching the first three episodes of Red Dwarf series eight. I completely revise my previous statements about not being sure I'd rewatch the series. I think I definitely would. They had a retrospective on how the show came to be and there were clips from the previous series and I was like "Aww, I remember that" and I do so with much more fondness now I've seen most of it. It's kind of like how rewatching Farscape makes me forgive a lot of the crap I found stupid or annoying in the early bits. Red Dwarf might never have been as laugh-out-loud funny as I was expecting, nor are a tremendous amount of the lines easily spoutable (despite
saikogrrl et al being able to do so at will), but I still very much love the idea of the show. And Rimmer and Cat. They're still adorable.
Rimmer had such a great line at the end of the episode I watched, I almost screamed delightedly: "The world loves a bastard." That and his "Permission to look smug, sir?" smugness nearly did me in. Hello, Rimsy. Welcome back.

Date: 2006-09-11 09:07 pm (UTC)I like old Rimmer, but Hard Light Rimmer has history with the rest of the gang that he doesn't. If not for the fact that Rimmer is Rimmer is Rimmer and that the two aren't different an iota besides the missing history, I'd be upset more.
