Honor's baby girl, Tess, was at the lab today when I stopped in to see Lori. I actually met Rae, who really really is friendly these days. I GOT TO HOLD THE BABY!!! SHE IS SOOOOO THE CUTE!!! I got to hold a bbaaaaaaaby!!! And Honor's son Liam thinks it's his baby! He gets upset when she's away and goes "Where's my baby??" AAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Ahem.

Answers in bold means no one got them!
1) So leave me alone, you oughta be proud that I'm getting good marks.
Elliot Smith - Needle in the Hay (come on, some one ought to have known chances were good there'd be Elliot Smith on here somewhere. Hmm, there's no Cure, though. Or NIN...whoa...well, maybe they were sick that day. RIP Mr. Smith, ::tear:: )

2) They burned down the gambling house/It died with an awful sound.
Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water (ok, more understandable because I couldn't really tell save for the chorus without help either)

3) Tell Sanchito that if he knows what is good for him/He best go run and hide/Daddy's got a new .45
Sublime - Santeria (they actually came up twice, and I sorta cheated to get rid on the second one because I had honestly NEVER heard it before in my life; it was left over from copying CDs for Rob)

4) Good day, sunshine, can I share in your warm glow?
Animal Bag - Hello Cosmo (not surprised here, hadn't listened to this in forever; plus, as Liz C says, it's sung by a group called ANIMAL BAG, what was I expecting?)

5) I've never been to the USA.
Planet Funk - Who Said (there are seriously 4 lyrics to this song, a la "Sweet Dreams," and none of them are really that interesting)

6) I want the Prodigy really loud.
Crush - Jellyhead (hee, they referenced The Prodigy!)

7) You can have anything you want, but you better not take it from me.
Guns n' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle

8) You're strange, insane, one thing you can never change.
Republica - Ready to Go (Michelle, you rock for getting that one...)

9) I can go for miles, if you know what I mean.
Pink - Get this Party Started (I don't count wrong titles, Caaarrie, so this goes to Kate! Yo!)

10) They're fading souls who've turned to ice, so ashen white in paradise.
Rammstein - Engel (English version) (damn it, this was my chance to have a song in another language, and the stupid ENGLISH version pops up instead...::sings:: und wenn die folken schlafen gehn, kann mans uns am Himmel sehen....)

11) You love the things I say I'll do, the way I'll hurt myself again just to get back at you.
Linkin Park - Points of Authority (go Ronnii for knowing which of the whiney "I'm sooooo tooooorrrrrtured" Linkin Park songs this was; stupid winamp think's it's Disturbed's "Prayer" which meant I had to go looking for the title because I wasn't sure which Linkin Park was cued...)

12) Just remember me when you're good to go.
The Dandy Warhols - We Used to be Friends (fell in love with this in Oz only to find out they were American...go figure)

13) Trying hard to look like Gary Cooper.
Taco - Puttin' on the Ritz

14) He'll rekindle all the dreams it took you a lifetime to destroy.
Nick Cave - Red Right Hand

15) I can taste you on my lips and smell you in my clothes.
Butthole Surfers - Pepper (and lol, yes BSD, the one with the 'some will die' lines)

16) Fucker, I ain't done...yeah!
White Zombie - More Human than Human (and I dare anyone to find anything more coherent than that sentence! That song, like ALL Zombie songs, Rob, White or otherwise, is totally incoherent. Well, except for the chick having an orgasm at the beginning, which I almost quoted because it would have been awesome to write "Uh...uh...uh..uh..uh! Mmm, mmm, ohhh, uhh!!" Don't you think? What would you guys have said for that??)

17) I sit here locked inside my head, remembering everything you said.
Staind - For You (ugh, I don't even like that song that much...pity)

18) If you can understand the me, then I can understand the you.
Metallica - Unforgiven II

19) 'Cause nothing stands between us here, and I won't be denied.
Sarah McLachlan - Possession (can I get a collective DUH!? It was a live version if that matters...)

20) She's got loving like quicksand, only took one touch of her hand.
Kula Shaker - Hush (Deep Purple, again, but a cover this time)

21) I'll hold you up in your office, preferably during business hours, 'cause I know how you like it when there's people around.
Melissa Ferrick - Drive (too many lines in this song that I liked, this was just the most fun; Julian, come on! You gave me this song!)

22) Your head is there to move you around.
REM - Stand

23) Look at me, I'm self-employed, I love to work at nothing all day.
Bachman Turner Overdrive - Takin' Care of Business

24) Your life is trite and jaded, boring and confiscated/If that's your best, your best won't do.
Bif Naked - We're Not Gonna Take It (very good, Michelle; original by Twisted Sister)

25) I can't live this way. Please, refill my soul.
Stone Temple Pilots - Lounge Fly (favorite STP album, but not favorite song by faaaaar)

26) Each day I feel so hollow, inside I was beating me. You will never see, so come dance me...
KoRn - Got the Life (Q!!! Where were you on this?? Prolly 'working' or something...)

27) Some kind of night into your darkness/colors your eyes with what's not there.
Mazzy Star - Fade Into You (good going again Michelle)

28) Met her on the mountain, stabbed her with my knife.
The Kingston Trio - Tom Dooley (yes, a song about a murder and execution that I used to listen to on car trips with my family. Explains a lot)

29) Some people might call it a one-night stand, but we can call it paradise.
Eve's Plum - Save a Prayer (Carrie, you were close. I just have a lot of versions of this song, original by Duran Duran.)

30) But I'm really not that different, you just made me think so.
Our Lady Peace - Everyone's a Junkie (If I'd used my real favorite, maybe someone could have gotten this one, but my favorite line is "Big Green Monkey, Everyone's a Junkie, so, couldn't really use it)

So, how'd you do? Only half right, like I thought ^.~

You wouldn't want this one to reproduce. Best I be relegated to cooing over babies than having/raising them. I'd end up like that psycho from Texas or whereever where she drowned her kids in the tub because it was free ice-cream day at Ben and Jerrys or something. I dunno how crazies work, but I bet I'd get there real fast with kids...

"Mommy, can we get fruits and vegetables so we can be healthy and active and stay out of your hair while we quietly eat our nutritious food?"
"Well, that seems...DIE! KILL YOU ALL! I WILL CARVE OUT YOUR HEARTS WITH MELON BALLERS AND SERVE THEM AS SORBET FOR THE SHRINERS' CONVENTION!!!......I mean, yes."
