What's in your bag?

Come on, LJ friends, you can play along at home! TrinityVixen has! And she's a winner! Look at the fabulous prizes she unearthed by playing "What's in your bag?":

-A two-month old ATM record! (oooooh)
-Ticket stubs from an airline and a museum! (aaaaaah)
-Bulldog clips! (eehhhhhh?)
-Tampons! (eeerrrrrrrr...)
-$13.42! (THE MOTHER LODE!!!)
-A pen! (useful!)
-A pencil! (okay!)
-Three months of a SuDoku calendar! (An excuse to use that pencil!)
-$160! (WTF?)

Thanks for playing! Who'll be up next on "What's in your bag?"?

why is $160 not the mother lode?

It's a joke. Ironic exaggeration of the $13.42. Also, I was typing as I went and was too lazy to delete the rest. That chunk of money is part of a rent payment from my roommate.

Play the game! Empty pockets if you're not toting a bag around currently. It's good fun.

I'm afraid I fail twice. No bag, and I'm wearing shorts with no pockets.

Ha, I was just thinking about a meme like this...

In my bag is:
-1 Dell laptop (heavy!) in a Roadwired Wrap
-1 Dell laptop AC adaptor (heavier than it should be!)
-1 old t-shirt (extra padding for the laptop)
-a blue folder with a change of address form in it and some address labels
-a red folder with two short story manuscripts, the lyrics to an Italian song, and the September Events listing for Barnes & Noble (which has just been moved to the trash)
-The September 2006 issue of Locus
-issue #47/48 of Brutarian
-July 2006 issue of Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine (review copy)
-earbud headphones
-business cards (mine and misc, including one for a pub and Midtown Comics)
-fingerless gloves
-Altoids
-an outlet splitter
-small package of tissues
-a small pad of Post-It notes
-numerous paperclips
-Nintendo DS Lite with Mario Kart DS
-Prince of Persia GBA game
-LEGO Star Wars II DS game
-Palm Pilot
-Netflix disc (Delicatessen)
-Moleskine notebook
-pen (Uniball Vision Elite)
-three doses of Benadryl
-book (Twenty Epics)

I travel light, ne?

This is my work bag configuration. I'm not carrying extra DS games, funny scraps of paper, or (in a rare event), one or two books to read.

Either or both, your call. Some people stuff a lot of crap into their bags.

I'm afraid mine is pretty dull. In my bag/suitcase/laptop holder, I have: Lots and lots of ungraded homework assignments (all for the Columbia class); two notebooks; some credit card bills, unopened (since I know the balance is zero); some art pencils; a calculator; an umbrella; receipts from a doctor's appointment; bubble-gun wrappers; and a cell phone with a dead battery. I usually have a book to read, too, but I've been denying myself that pleasure, hoping it will force me to grade papers. (So far it isn't working.)
