Okely dokely, I have questions after last night's episode of Heroes. They are mostly stupid, mostly non-spoilery, but they go beneath a cut just in case:

1. If people are just discovering/coming into abilities, how is it possible that Mr. Bennet would have found and tamed a power nullifier guy before he found anyone else? In other words, how do you identify a silencer of powers when there aren't others with powers to compare against?

2. Uh, is Matt dyslexic or just illiterate? How is he a cop?

3. Sylar looks like Simon Tam. That's not a question. Or, no, wait, here's a question: does it make Sylar creepier that he looks like Simon? I can answer that myself: Yes, because Simon, though attractive, is fucking creepy looking at times.

4. Where have I seen the telekinetic guy before? I can't find him on IMDB...oh, wait, no I did. He's David from CSI. I knew I recognized that adorably geeky face.

5. I really don't get Nathan's motives for...anything. I understand not talking about the second car, I guess, but, uh, where did he go between his wife's crippling and the series' start that he a) stopped being adorable to Peter, b) asked his wife's crippler for money, and c) suddenly decided to run for office?

There's more, but that's all I've got for now.

OMG, CRACK!FIC IDEA X-TREME! I LOVE IT! I really do, caps lock crazies aside. Simon gets push waaaaay too far over the line, starts cracking open brains to get some respect. It could get really tragic given the history of brain stuffs in the Tam family..

I'm trying not to think about Nathan's motivations or else I might need to write a big wanky fic about how he gets from point A to point Q. Also, thinking about it too much interferes with my drooling over him, so I'm hitting the off switch on my brain on that issue.

This show needs to work its shit out. This was fairly well handled, but it's crazily done just the same, almost haphazardly, and that could come back to bite them in the ass. At the very least, the timing is utter crap. I don't believe Nathan could pick up and run for office six months before an election and win. Well, except for those nothing-candidates who won last time because people were pissed at the Republicans...
