Heeeee. Points to
viridian for pointing this out to me:
Someone farts in the general direction of my Pink Raygun review of Heroes. (scroll down for the comment from 'Corellian')
Again, thanks to
viridian for defending me as well, but in all honesty, I'm so excited by this prospect I'm bouncing in my chair at work. Because I love the fact that some douchebag thinks snark is somehow inappropriate and disrespectful. I'd love to see his reaction to my reviews of Smallville because if he thinks the vitriol dripped from my review of Heroes, he'd probably pass out with one whiff of a Smallville review.
viridian is a smart cookie, and kinder than I. She's got it exactly right: I don't snark all over a show because I hate it. When I hate it, I TURN IT OFF! Whoa! NOVEL CONCEPT. I spend hours on these reviews, agonizing over every little change (because they're most free-form essay style which is harder to make discreet editorial changes to), so clearly I don't mind rewinding the show I've taped or dwelling/speculating on plot developments. If I had to do this for, say, the drivel that the one roommate watches? I'd--no joke--blow my brains out first.
Still! I have an enemy! A foil! A person with an opinion other than mine with which to duel! Hurrah! I'm crazy! I love this! Well, I do now. If this commenter continues on trying to tell me how to be funny and/or snarky, I'll have to kick his ass across more than a few parsecs, but still! Heee!
