I love that series. I need to catch back up with it. Anyone have like every episode available after 100 or so? Soooo cute. And they gave us cute free posters.
Also, we had a fun and overly loud and uncaring conversation and impression round talking about what characters the four of us (BSD, Ping, Carrie, me) could be either as cosplay or Halloween (more likely the latter in my case). Dave and Carrie lighted on something truly wondrous: Carrie as Amelia and Dave as Philonel from Slayers. It was too perfect. Ping would join as Zelgadis, and, well, me, I was told I could be someone I'd not heard of who wore "dental floss with patches." No thanks, I know I don't fit into Slayers. We then discussed other series. When we got to Powerpuff Girls, I imitated Buttercup and Dave did his best Fuzzy Lumpkins and some guy asked what show that was and actually knew it!
Oh, but Carrie had a fit when Dave asked me to do a vapid smile in preparation for being Kasumi from Ranma 1/2. It's really hard to do cute, innocent, silly smile when you want to laugh really hard. I stretched out my face and closed my eyes and summoned my Keanu-face with a bit more kindness than blandness, a smile, and, to top it off, I placed my fingers on my cheek at the corner of my mouth, kind of like Kasumi does when she goes, "Oh," in the series/manga. Carrie died. It was great.
The best part of all was the utter amazingness/wrongness I came up with after it was just Carrie and I waiting at 86th for the 6 uptown. We were running through the rest of the series we knew and had ended up on Trigun. In terms of who we could be, quite easily the two of us could be Milly and Meryl. However, I expressed my objection to being Milly, so Carrie and I admitted who we'd want to be instead. Carrie wanted to be Vash. I said Wolfwood. Then I got an idea. I got an awful idea. I got a wonderful, awful idea. I would be Wolfwood and BSD could be Milly. Heeeeeee. It's so weird and backwards but not! BSD, you know you are way more nice and happy like Milly and I am much more egotistical like Wolfwood. I think it could work. I'd love to see it, but not more than him and Carrie and Philonel and Amelia. That's too perfect.
