My uncle of the many inane e-mail forwards sent yet another fake photo chain e-mail to my family mailing list. The only good to have come of it is that it has the CUTEST PICTURE EVER of a great white shark in it. (Scroll down to the bottom to see the original.) I mean, look at the widdle guy. He is so adorable! Can I take him home with me, huh huh huh? I'll feed him and I'll walk him three times every day and he can sleep in my room...

Okay--snakes I love. Spiders I can deal with. I have always been terrified of sharks. Not in the run-away-from-the-water hate-the-beach kind of way (I do hate the beach, but that's more of a fear of sunburn), but in a deeply seated fear of large creatures in deep water. So even knowing this photo was fake? It freaked me out.

You can keep the shark. I'll make you visit me rather than the other way around, though.

::giggles:: But he's so cuuuuuuute. Great whites are PUPPIES, man. I watched a special where they were breaching (and getting some serious air) like whales. Which, of course, they did with the purpose of getting the food that had been at the surface, so they looked like puppies catching sticks. Which, in turn, does really funny things to my head when I think of the dog that got eaten while playing fetch in Jaws.

Yay, you like snakeys too! I spent most of Snakes on a Plane wanting to pet some of the snakes (specifically the non-CGI ones, though those were cute, too).
