The Stuff of My Nightmares
Jan. 31st, 2008 11:42 amWhile I might fret death by zombie apocalypse by day, I apparently am greatly afeared of school by night.
In my dream last night, I was sitting near the steps at Columbia and freaking out because I'd missed some major cultures class, forgetting entirely that I had any classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. I was also stressed because I couldn't remember if I'd attended my day-time Tuesdays and Thursdays advanced, advanced math class. No amount of going, "Hey, wait, didn't I already graduate? And don't I have work during the day? And why the hell would Hugh Laurie be teaching my math class?" seemed to dissuade me from panic.
I still suffer some residual feelings of being certain that I am missing something and am going to be penalized for it through onto today. Perhaps that's becauses I've not done my homework. Off I go then.

Date: 2008-02-01 04:28 pm (UTC)That's almost exactly the feeling--I've got the logical (possibly half-awake) me going "There's no way you could be back in this school, you've gone past it with your diploma," while the subconscious me is freaking out, "AHHH!!! I WILL BE A FAAAAILURE! I MISSED EVERYTHING!!!"
The saddest thing is that I've had these dreams about being absent from middle school and not even a year ago. It was like I had to work on getting out to where I went to middle school from the city, and the logical side was like, "Wouldn't you have to go to a middle school in the city if you were ACTUALLY in middle school? Also, you already went to high school AND college, dipshit." Laaaaaame.
