I wish I didn't know these thing existed. And now they've gone and preserved one.

Damned tentacle monsters.

I still get the willies going to the American Natural History Museum's "Hall of Biodiversity" because of that goddamned corner that's all dark and has a goddamned giant squid the size of me being 'et by a sperm whale. STILL SCARED OF IT, WTF?

And I've seen tiny squids while diving AND I AM STILL NOT OVER THIS.

(Octopi, on the other hand, are very neat and beautiful. I've even seen a cuttlefish, which is equally odd looking but somehow less vaguely threatening looking than a squid. It's gotta be the giant eyeball.)

Dude, did the article say it can _think_ while being "plastinated"? ummmm.... yeah, okay. Does than not strike my fellow biologists as being improbable?
